About Korcula
The island of Korčula, the so-called jewel of the Adriatic archipelago, is located near the peninsula Pelješac and it has a land area of about 270 km2. The coast of Korčula is well-indented by small islands and bays while macchia, coniferous woods, medical plants and great many varieties of flowers give this island a special atmosphere.
The island itself has about 18 000 thousand inhabitants whose primary source of income is tourism, fishing, viticulture, olive, fig, orange and almond growing, ship building and stone-masonry.

Korčula has Mediterranean climate which means long and hot summers and mild winters.
